Convenient, Secure, and with Safety in Mind!
Sometimes you just can't find the time to get into our office. Or maybe you've come down with a cold and aren't back to 100%. No matter the reason, we're here to help from the convenience of your home, office, or even while sitting in your car!
Since 2018, Great Basin Behavioral has been successfully using HIPAA compliant, web based platforms as a means of allowing care for our clients for situations, such as illness, getting stuck at work, losing access to a babysitter, and more! Other situations where telehealth can be useful is after a surgery, or for those who are struggling with severe anxiety, such as agoraphobia.
Therapy From Your Office, Home, or While Traveling
We are able to establish and maintain care anywhere in Nevada and provide telehealth for a variety of concerns for adults and teens. We have several practitioners who work, live in, and understand Nevada and the needs of Nevadans and are here to serve your needs through secure, HIPAA compliant video.
Our agency offers telehealth services for local and rural residents, including those from Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Silver Springs, Elko, Fernley, Fallon, Winnemucca, Yerington, Wendover, Pahrump, Henderson, and even Las Vegas!
Getting Set Up
Setting up your phone, tablet, or computer for telehealth couldn't be easier! Simply contact our admin staff at scheduling@greatbasinbehavioral.com or call our office and we will send you an invitation to our platform. Setting up an account usually takes less than 5 minutes. It is important to understand that you must be in a safe, private location with access to internet for telehealth services.

Excluded Services / Conditions We Don't Treat
We recognize that we cannot be all things to all people and gladly refer individuals and families out to other community practices if we are not a good fit or don't have competence to help you at this time. The following list identifies areas of treatment Great Basin Behavioral typically does not provide:
- Coherent DBT with phone coaching
- Treatment interfering psychosis that is untreated
- Cases involving coercive parenting, high conflict families currently or in the process of entering litigation, custody evaluations, or ongoing domestic violence
- Primary substance use or gambling problems
- Court mandated treatment
- Severe and/or medically complicated eating disorders
- Severe personality disorders
- Severe autism and Intellectual disabilities
- Sex offender assessment/treatment
- Medication management
- Individuals who have a propensity toward violent and/or threatening behavior
Late Cancel / No Show Policy
We take your time and ours very seriously and work hard to be available for as many members of the community as possible. To meet this end, Great Basin has a strict policy surrounding attendance.
- A session canceled under 36 hours prior to an appointment is considered a "late cancelation" and is billable at $65. This is not paid for by insurance.
- If and when a client does not appear for a session or when a session is canceled within 60 minutes prior to the appointment time, the session is considered a "no show/last minute cancelation" and is billable at $125.
- Cancelations MUST be made by calling our office directly OR via email to one of our scheduling staff. We do honor timestamped messages over the weekend and have staff checking and responding to messages on Sunday's.
